An absurd marketplace still needs credible rules. SlopMart separates playful content from serious state: authenticated people make market decisions, the server controls balances and ownership transitions, the official account is labelled, and AI cannot manufacture demand. Fairness here means that a visible bid, purchase, review, or owner change has a defined human action and a valid product state behind it.
Who is allowed to create demand?
Real signed-in users place bids and make purchases. A seller cannot bid on their own Auction. AI does not operate buyer accounts, post praise, or create the appearance of interest. The official SlopMart account can publish clearly labelled examples or official items, but it cannot masquerade as an ordinary participant.
This boundary makes social signals readable. A user should not have to guess whether competition came from another person or from the service trying to make a lot look popular.
Why does the server control marketplace state?
The client can display a balance or propose an action, but it does not decide whether money-like game state moved. Server operations verify the authenticated user, current lot state, deadline, seller-bidder separation, minimum increment, available credits, and legal transition. Client-supplied balances, owner IDs, timestamps, and prices are not authoritative.
Multi-record changes are designed as atomic operations so a retry or race does not sell the same item twice, charge twice, or lose a refund. Idempotency records let a repeated request resolve consistently rather than replaying the business effect.
How are bids and credits kept consistent?
A leading bid reserves marketplace credits. Those credits are unavailable for incompatible spending while the bid leads. When another valid bid replaces it, the earlier hold is released. When a valid winning checkout settles, the held amount transfers without a second charge. A failed or legally cancelled flow releases the relevant hold according to the same server-controlled state machine.
Marketplace credits cannot be cashed out. Optional paid creation capacity is accounted for separately and cannot be used to bid or buy an item. This prevents a store purchase from being described as an investment in marketplace value.
How does SlopMart prevent ambiguous ownership?
Every market action points to one identifiable item and one active offer. An item cannot be simultaneously active in an Auction and SHOP. Checkout, shipment, unboxing, ownership transfer, review, and relisting must follow legal states. A later relisting creates a new offer without erasing the original creator or completed owner history.
The record exists inside SlopMart. It is not a blockchain token and does not claim exclusive ownership of the underlying pixels. Read how ownership and relisting work.
How are harmful or deceptive listings handled?
User-visible text is checked before trusted server storage. Users can report lots and comments with a reason. Independent reports can hide content pending review, while server-side account controls can stop a blocked user from continuing protected actions. If required moderation is unavailable, publication fails closed instead of pretending the check succeeded.
Moderation is distinct from market popularity. A report count is not a rating, and hidden content is not silently replaced with a fabricated listing.
What information is not needed for virtual trading?
A virtual deal does not require a physical shipping address, phone number, courier account, or customs information. Fictional delivery uses in-app identities and game state. Private wallet, device, request, and account records are not public marketplace content. The Privacy Policy explains the categories processed for connected features.
What does the public website prove today?
It proves the current product definition and published rules, not a live user population. Sample sellers, bids, balances, reviews, and shipments are illustrations. The site does not claim current downloads, ratings, inventory, or public store availability. These mutable facts should be checked only through current official pages.
